I live in the PNW and wanted a bag that was water-resistant and well built. I saw the DS 20 on Steep and Cheap and it fit the bill, especially for the SAC price. The material is tough and the overall construction is very nice. The main pocket has a drawstring to keep it closed, and there's a small pocket inside for keys, wallet, energy bars, etc. The suspension system is comfortable, and the shoulder straps are comfortably spaced. I've only used the bag a few times and it's served its purpose well - to keep your stuff and back dry. The ventilation system seems to work fairly well, but I've been wearing a jacket with it, so I'll withhold judgment until Summer.
The bag does have a few minor flaws in my mind, though. The exterior mesh pockets are fairly loose, so skinny water bottles easily fall out. Also, the pack seems bulkier than it is, due to the suspension system; the main compartment is tall and skinny, which makes it difficult to access items in the bottom of the bag. Also, the top flap doesn't cinch down nicely when the bag is somewhat empty.
Nonetheless, this is a great bag for wet weather, and I'm sure it'll get a lot of use during summer hikes.
