Deuter backpacks have been around since 1898 when Hans Deuter took his first order to make all of the Bavarian Post Office’s postal bags. Deuter has been blazing trails in the backpacking world ever since, introducing new technologies and rethinking the status quo. Currently, their Aircomfort System is copied by several manufacturers, though none have managed to achieve the quality of Deuter.

  • Heavy duty spun polyester lasts for years and years and years
  • Vertical attachment system carries snowboard or snowshoes
  • Side attachment system carried skis
  • Flexible hip belt moves with you while you ski or skin
  • Full circumference compression straps stabilize the load
  • Smooth woven back panels prevent snow accumulation
  • Delrin tensioned U-rod allows full back panel access—no need to remove skis or board
