Description of DAKINE Stingray Glove:
The DAKINE Stingray provides riders with the warmth and protection of Gore-Tex and a low, volume, dexterous feel. DAKINE’s patented construction selectively bonds internal layers within the Stingray, resulting in awesome grip without feeling bulky or clumsy on your hands. Pre-curved box finger construction facilitates gripping poles or grabbing mute, while articulated knuckle and wrist panel make the Stingray feel all broken in on your first day wearing them.

Bottom Line: You might not even know you’re wearing the DAKINE Stingray Glove if you hands weren’t so damn warm and comfortable.

im really sorry dogfunk, i had to get these at a local shop for %50 off. At that price, they are totaly worth it (bout 50 bucks)...for any larger price i would look elsewhere. they are nice gloves, fit true to size and are comfy as heck. the figers are snug and the gloves have just a tiny tiny bit of stretch to them, very dexterous and low profile. they look SICK, the pads add a nice robot/power ranger/samurai look to em, and on the bottom the fingers are all outlined giving it a skeleton-esc, look. very cool and not overdone at all. performance, these are not breathable at all, if your fingers get wet, they stay wet, but even if the insides are a bit damp, you still stay warm. they take about an hour to warm up your hands. i used them in 30 degree weather and got cold hands a few times, but when my hands were warm, they were toasty warm, they are good spring gloves basically...and theres goretex so they are 100 percent waterproof...leather is ok, after one day the fingers tips got a little faded, not cool! one more feature i LOVE is the extra long zip gauntlet, super easy to put on and tighten, and goes under ur jacket easy peasey with out sacrificing protection...over-all a nice gloves but not worth the retail price :-)

Great Glove   01-14-09
Snow is good (3): rank
In over 7 years of riding I've always used Dakine, lo-profile, leather gloves. I get about 2, 45 day seasons out of them before I replace them. Completely satisfied. What makes these better than the rest is that the gauntlet (wrist) is a little longer than in previous models, so when you put your hand in the snow you get another 2 inches of protection before you get snow in your sleeve. The drawback is the sizing; I've always worn a Large, these are a little long in the fingers, the palm and wrist is snug, but the fingers are a just a little big. However, this problem goes away if you're wearing liners, which you'll have to if temps fall into the single digits and below. And as far as wearing liners go, it's a low-profile glove, not a down mitten, you're going to have to throw on liners every now and again.
