DAKINE made the Pipe Snowboard Bag for riders who would rather spend money on lift tickets than some blinged-out bag that most people will never see. This simple, functional DAKINE bag includes a full-length zipper for easy access to your snowboard and a removable shoulder strap for comfortable carrying.
Bottom Line: Save your money for something more important.
This bag does the job. Can't really expect much more for the price. Although there is no padding, the material is durable enough to withstand some thrashing. I bought the bag in a 145, but my 140cm board (with bindings attached) and my spare 146cm board fit perfectly. There is a middle pocket (which is quite roomy) that can fit all your accessories as well. All in all, a great bag for a great price.
Why buy an expensive bag just so the gorillas at the airport can toss it around and mess it up. Snowboard are really burly, think about what you put it through on the mountain, no need to buy a padded, satin lined bag for your stick. I've had my DAKINE for a couple of years. About once a season I have to sit down and patch holes the airport have put in my bag, glad I didn't drop the price of a couple days lift tickets for some fancy bag.
If you just need a bag for your board, and aren't worried about damaging your board at all, this will work for you. But if you want to throw your boots or any snowgear in there, forget about it--just not enough room. If you're using this to fly, I would definitely recommend spending a few more bucks and getting something that offers protection and storage. Ski sales are coming!
