Description of DAKINE Transfer Backpack - 1400cu in:
It's not rad when you pull your new laptop out and it looks like it has been fighting (and losing) a battle with a sharp-clawed cat in your backpack. That's why DAKINE made the Transfer Pack with an external, padded laptop sleeve. Since backsweat has never been an attractive look, the Transfer Pack has breathable Dri-Mesh in the back panel and shoulder straps. An organizer pocket, fleece-lined sunglass pocket, and low-profile side pockets hold odds and ends.
Bottom Line: Keep your keys, pens, and lunch steak-knife from mauling your laptop.
Construction is good, as is expected from Dakine. Sturdy zippers, good stitching and all that. The sunglasses pocket is a little small and makes for a tight fit if you've got your pack full. The design of the straps are perfect for my 5' 9", medium build as they distribute weight well. The padding in the laptop pocket could be better. In this pack I comfortably carry a 15.4" laptop, power brick, PSP & multi-game case, MP3 player, a medium sized book or couple of magazines, a jacket or change of gym clothes, a notebook, a digital camera and whatever other random junk I decide to bring with me during the day.
This really is a sickk backpack. I am really mobile and need it for a variety of activities. It's got the perfect fit for school, carries everything I need, including my sunglasses, laptop charger, and even lunch! Great for hitting the beach and has so much storage space for those extra goodies. For the style and the price, I'd say it's the best buy I have made in a while. I get compliments all the time, and it's become my favorite backpack and I'm kinda of a backpack snob. Get it, you won't regret it.
I love this bag. It has made carrying my laptop to class so much easier. And it's separated from the rest of my folders and books and is still roomy enough for the notebooks, calculators, and other various items you keep in a book bag! It is very sturdy and honestly I do not notice I have the extra weight of the laptop in there when the bag is on my back.
