I bought these ski pants because I had Columbia's Titanium soft shell jacket, which is excellent, and I wanted to give the pants a try. All of the other ski pants I've tried, including very expensive high-tech pants, were cut with a very baggie fit. These fit in a trim style which is well-suited to an athletic build. They have lots of pockets and are sturdy. My only criticism is that their waterproof rating is only 10,000 mm. It would be better at 20,000mm, but so far they have been sufficiently waterproof. Overall, an excellent pant that I will use everywhere except really wet days, when I'll rely on 20,000mm Gore-tex.
