Description of Columbia Cascade Canyon Shell - Women's:
When it rains it pours. And when it pours, the Columbia Women's Cascade Canyon Shell saves you from a miserable soaking. The Omni-Tech HP membrane competently blocks water while still allowing ventilating air to pass through. Taped seams and an adjustable storm hood add to the waterproof theme, while articulated elbows and radial sleeves give you a complete range of unobstructed movement. Don't forget the Underarm zips that air you out when things get steamy and the internal security pocket that holds your keys, wallet, or energy bar.
Bottom Line: You'll be singin' in the rain instead of crying for home, in the Women's Cascade Canyon Shell.
This is a nice jacket and the fabric is very nice. I would just like to give potential buyers a heads-up about the color. On the website, on my computer anyway, the red appears to be a muted red. In reality, it's the red of the red stripes in the American flag--a bright primary red.
I bought this since it occasionally rains in Minneapolis. This jacket does not win style points, but it's a pretty damn good waterproof jacket for a good deal. I like all the pockets too.
Length is average, maybe on the long side. I happen to have a long torso, so if I bike in this, it just covers my back.
Sizing is pretty true. I usually wear a 6-8 on top and the Small fit perfectly. However, I returned it for the Medium so I can wear a sweater underneath.
