When washing this be sure you don't use fabric softener. I made the mistake and the fabric went bad, well didn't stay soft like it was when first purchased. Just a heads up.

Prairie Rose Pictures Seem Diluted   08-21-08

If you are interested in the Prairie Rose style, be sure to look at other pictures online of Columbia items in this color. I was expecting to receive something in a dusty pink color, but instead it turns out that Prairie Rose is kind of a fushia color (cerise?). It is still a beautiful jacket, just not exactly what I thought it was going to be. Otherwise I was completely happy: fast shipping, fits perfectly, incredibly soft.

beautifully soft & comfy and compliments a woman's shape by design. I'm so glad I got it! Not too thick for the active, but keeps nicely warm. My only dislike could only be that the mock neck pokes me under the chin when fully zipped. But hardly the end of the world. The seam-hidden sleeve thumbholes are very handy for when i want to wear it with my boarding gloves, too!
