Quality of jacket seems very good however, the fit is not good. I ordered a medium and fits well everywhere except the armpits are very tight and restricting. Very uncomfortable. I am not a big guy with large arms or shoulders. I had to return it. A large would have been too big everywhere else.

As stated previously, the quality of the jacket seems very good. However, I was disappointed to find that most of the jacket is NOT softshell material. All of the black area that you see pictured is everyday hardshell. The gray areas are what Columbia is calling softshell, but even that is a "stretch". This one is going back. Too bad because this would be a better shell than both the helly hansen and mtn hardwear cohesion that I already own.
