The Cloudveil Serendipity Glove gives you three-in-one versatility along with the protection of Gore-Tex for comfortable and durable protection in any conditions. A light Gore Windstopper shell glove protects from gnarly conditions on ski descents and frigid bivies, while a removable Schoeller liner glove with a Gore-Tex membrane and Primaloft One insulation provides stretchy waterproof protection for ice climbing or ski touring. A nose wipe on the shell deals with runny snot, and an extended gauntlet seals out snow out when you get caught in a whiteout. Get a firm grip on your ice tools or ski poles with the Pittards leather palm, and when things get extra chilly, slide a warmer packet into the zippered pocket for a heat boost.
Bottom Line: Two versatile gloves in one bomber package.
I purchased this glove with the hopes that it would be able to perform in a number of different conditions and I have been very happy with them so far. The glove comes in two parts, a shell and a extremely warm liner glove that can quite certainly function on its own. When used together, you have an absolutely bomb proof furnace of a glove. In warmer conditions, I have removed the heavy liner and inserted a thinner fleece glove as well as using the shell on its own! The glove leashes are quite comfortable and enable removing your gloves without any chance of them getting lost. The extended gauntlet, one hand cinch cord, and heater pockets are all sweet extras. I have found that both the liner and the shell are very grippy and perform as intended. However, when first trying this glove on, it is extremely stiff and uncomfortable due to the thickness of the liner glove. Yet, it does break in rather well in just few hours of use and becomes comfortably dexterious for a heavyweight glove. If you choose to use the shell with another fleece or liner glove, this is not an issue at all. My only slight complaint is that the snap tabs on the cinch cords are very difficult to unsnap. With that said, I am enjoying these gloves to the fullest and would purchase these again. Good Times!
I'm not gonna lie...If I could find a woman the same way I love these gloves, I would be completely satisfied every day of my life!!! I have attempted to use them on three trips now and my hands were too warm were too warm on two of the trips. I definitely got some priceless use out of them up at Camp Muir on Mt. Rainier last weekend though. It was flippin cold! I will definitely take these gloves on any trip that I know will be super cold. They definitely have their niche! I love cloudveil's customer service as well! Stellar company! Way to go fellas!
Cheers!!!
The shell with the liner in made the fingers way too tight for my hands. We're talking blood loss tight. I let my friend try them on, her hands were smaller and she said they were too tight still, so I wouldnt imagine that a larger size would do. Really nice gloves though.
