Cloudveil built the insulated Hoback Jacket for those socked-in Jackson days, when the flakes are falling thick at the summit and the thermometer reads ‘stay inside, moron’. Warm and waterproof without being bulky, the Hoback Jacket features a layer of 100g PrimaLoft One insulation behind a Gore-Tex Pro Shell nylon taffeta face. Cloudveil uses synthetic fill, rather than down, so if the gates open up you can still hike the Headwall (with your zip vents wide open) and trudge out the bottom of Granite without losing precious loft. A cinch collar, stretch powder/storm skirt, and removable hood seal out spindrift and sleet, while a pass pocket and media stash compartment keep your access and entertainment in order.

Bottom Line: Designed in Jackson to work there and everywhere else.
