Description of Cloudveil Ice Flower Insulated Jacket - Women's: |
 |
From groomer runs to walking around Jackson's array of outdoor shops, the Cloudveil Women's Ice Flower Insulated Jacket will keep you warm, casual, and comfortable. The Ice Flower Jacket's weather-resistant nylon shell repels light snow and stiff breezes, while the Primaloft sport insulation traps your body heat to keep you warm. Cloudveil gave this warm winter jacket a trim silhouette and a clean look, so you can wear it out to the bar after a day of skiing. When your hands get chilled, slip them into this casual insulated jacket's hidden front pockets. If you decide to go on a short snowshoe in Teton Park and the wind picks up, hide from the elements under the Ice Flower Jacket's fleece-lined hood.
Bottom Line: Warm up zipped up in the simple and elegantly functional Cloudveil Ice Flwer Insulated Jacket.

| Nice Cloudveil Jacket 02-18-09 |

| Cloudveil consistently makes high quality outdoor wear, and the ice flower hoodie is no exception. (I got the hoodie, FYI) I'm in like, not in love, with the jacket. First of all, it's only been tested in the damp, cold, (but a far cry from freezing) rainy winter conditions of the Bay Area. It's been plenty warm for my needs, but I wonder how it would do at a higher elevation, or further north. The fleece lining in the hood and around the cuffs is super comfy-- I wish they'd lined the entire jacket. The hood can be cinched down pretty tight, and functions just as well as a hat. The shell is extremely water resistant; I've been using the jacket in the rain with no problems. The styling leaves something to be desired-- while the cut claims it's pretty slim, it's definitely not. This may be partly due to the fact I had to buy a size up (I'm almost always a medium in coats and jackets, I'm an 8/10 size) so I could fit sweaters underneath the jacket. I also didn't really like any of the color choices (I have bluegrass) especially not the drab taupe lining and fleece. Cloudveil would do well to branch away from earthy muted pastels.
Slim down the cut (taper at the waist!) give me a nice dark royal blue with pink/red/white fleece lining throughout, and we're talking the perfect jacket. |
