The quick-dry mesh on the Chaco Women’s Colorado Shoe is stoked for river crossings and wet-again, dry-again hikes, and the grippy outsole provides traction on slippery slopes. Built-in flex points help promote a natural stride and reduce break-in time. Slip your foot into the Colorado and use the webbing and buckle system to quickly get a snug fit.
I love these shoes! Chaco has the best arch support and their shoes hold up really well, it is the only brand I buy in shoes unless I'm buying something dressy. I like that there are no ties to get caught in anything, like my bike chain. The mesh really is breathable, which will be great in the summer.
One thing that surprised me, although I'm not disappointed, is that although the shoe looks orange in the picture, it is actually red. Doesn't bother me but if I had been wanting orange I would have been disappointed.
These Chacos are very versatile. I wore them wet caving. They provide a great balance between a lightweight comfortable water shoe and a shoe with good support and sticking ability. The foot inserts that come in the shoes are some of the best I've ever used and provide great support. I've also worn the shoes at the beach and for general use with my own orthotics, which fit easily inside. The shoes have a sliding buckle on the side rather than laces; once I figured it out, it was easy to work and made it a cinch to slip in and out of the shoes.
The only minor complaint I have is that the shoes take a long time to dry out (although the inserts dry quickly).
