These may even be more comfortable than the sandals! I was excited to find out that Chaco was going to start making shoes again, and even more excited when I picked up a pair of these. They fit great right out of the box, even for my large, wide, and high-volume feet. They breathe well, grip well, and look good. These are my new everyday summer shoe. I wish they had slightly more padding/shock absorption, but they are great light hikers and everyday shoes. Would buy again and again!

First pair too small, but the replacement (a half size larger) is one of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn.

Just not the same as their sandals   10-06-08

So I just got these shoes today, and...well what a let down. I wear a 10W in Chaco sandals, and I'm one of those crazy folks who wears them everywhere and always (hey thats why they made goretex over socks right!) But when it came to these shoes I ordered my normal 10.5 shoe size, and talk about not true to size, my toes were crammed into the toebox they were so small. As for the ergonomic foot bed I've come to love...well it seems about a 1/2" too far back and is quite uncomfortable. If you wear a 10-10.5, I'd be safe and go with an 11 in these. Unfortunately mine are getting shipped back tomorrow!
