Description of Canada Goose Chilliwack Parka - Kids':
Heavy duty Arctic-Tech material forms the outer layer of the Canada Goose Boys’ Chilliwack Parka, so this jacket repels the harsh winds and heavy use of a child. Duck down keeps your little yeti warm, and a down-proof nylon lining blocks any would-be pokey feathers from breaking through. Coyote fur around the hood adds warmth and shields the face from snow, and a snap-secured windflap sees to it that cold air stays out. Canada Goose gave the Chilliwak fleece-lined pockets to help warm little hands, and heavy-duty elasticized reinforced cuffs and waistband to keep out frigid air and snow.
Bottom Line: When you feel like shipping your little one off to the Arctic, don’t forget the Canada Goose Chilliwack Parka.

great quality but zipper needs improvement 01-07-09
very happy about the jacket for my 6 year-old son, but the zipper is just too difficult for him to use. otherwise, the jacket is perfect. it is stunning in black. i've been wearing my chilliwack (for men) for 2 years and it puts a smile on my face each time i put it on.
I had the North face Gotham Jacket but decided to return it because it was so puffy. This jacket is a lot warmer and body fitting. I will keep this forever!

Crazy-tiny elastic waistband; won't fit normal-sized kid. 11-16-09
I bought this parka XS/blue for my 5 year old son. Great quality construction, the fur collar was great and the coat seemed super-warm. Overall seemed worth the big price, especially if you can hand-down to a little brother.
The problem was the elasticized waistband at the base of the coat. It was RIDICULOUSLY small.
My son is slightly small/skinny for a 5 year old...he weighs 39 pounds and is 44" (His XS TNF Denali fleece is roomy on him.). When I tried the Chilliwack on him, I literally could NOT squeeze the parka around his waist in order to zip it. The elasticized band was so small/constricting that we could not zip the parka.
Again...I loved the quality/workmanship and overall styling, but the teensy-tiny elastic waistband made this one a no-go.
We went with a North Face McMurdo...fits great, super warm, lots less $$$.
