Flexible enough to butter boxes, but stiff enough to pick up some serious speed on the way to that spooky set of stairs, the lightweight, responsive Doom Bindings show no mercy to urban features and technical parks. The tall Team Skybacks ramp up response, while their cored-out construction keeps the weight like a feather. The Burton Doom is basically a pair of Burton Mission bindings with the Cartel toe strap. That said, they are rather soft and pair well with soft, flexible park/street boards. They also fit Salomon's Fusion boots like a charm. It would be nice if the baseplate were padded, but I guess there are too many holes in the plate for it to make much of a difference. The foam on the highback is soft and prone to abrasion damage, but it's not really a big deal.
