Description of Burton Day Hiker Pack - Women's - 20L:
The Burton Women’s 20L Day Hiker Pack has an easy-access shovel pocket, so make sure you use it. You wouldn’t want to be hiking around in the backcountry without a friend-digger-outer, would you? This Burton daypack also carries your board, extra clothing, some grub, and a hydration bladder (not included). A headphone port in the fleece-lined pocket allows you to stomp your feet to the beat in between stomping huge landings.**DISCONTINUED WINTER 2008 COLOR/STYLE**
exactly what i was looking for, perfect size for a night away, or a day trip. bought the 12L initially and was waaaaaay to small. big enough to use for lap tops/school.
I got this pack because I needed a good sized pocket for my split board skins and one that was separate from the main pocket, so I wasn't dumping snow onto my dry gear. This pack is great! The two large pockets took care of it. The woman-specific (shorter pack, narrower shoulders) feels light and unobtrusive. Don't really need all the little inside pockets, but a couple of them turned out to be useful to isolate keys and spare parts, so they're safely isolated from the main access pockets. Good size for day use. My husband says the design on the pack looks "girly", which is great because otherwise the boys might be borrowing it!
Got this in pop camo. Haven't used it outdoors yet, but it seems durable and able to put up with lots of abuse. It has great padding on the straps and back. As the previous reviewer said, the nylon pockets inside are made of very flimsy nylon. I guess the one I received was a previous return because there was a dime in the big pocket... now I'm 10 cents richer!
My only complaint is that the description is not completely accurate. There is no fleece lined pocket with headphone port - at least not in the pop camo one. There are a total of five internal pockets, though - one zippered, two open top, two mesh. Everything else in the specs is spot on.
