As Burton's stiffest women's boot, the Q Snowboard Boot responds immediately to your every whim. Big mountain line? No problem. Backcountry playground? Easy fo' sheezy. These boots support and cushion no matter what type of terrain you attack. Burton designed the Qs with Speed Zone lacing for true zonal control, better foot wrap, and a pinch-free fit. Their heat-moldable Imprint 3 liners feature EVA footbeds for shock-absorption, and the B3 gel cushioning disperses impact without breaking down. This super supportive snowboard boot employs Burton's True Fit Construction, which means that every section—from the articulating cuff to the lightweight outsole—integrates with Burton bindings for a separated-at-birth fit. - Fall 2009.
Bottom Line: Takes the whole mountain in stride—no questions asked.
I previously owned two pairs of Burton Sapphires, and even though they were really comfortable I always felt they got broken in and squishy way too quickly. After buying the Q Boots due to their stiffness, I couldn't be happier! They have great support, and do most of the work for me so my legs aren't tired at the end of the day. I love them!
I'm typically a 9-9.5, so I ordered a 10 for additional room for thick socks. When they arrived I tried them on, and they felt kind of tight in the toe area. But I decided to stick it out and hope for the best- as Burton does not make a women's boot larger than a 10. I was okay with breaking them in. Well after a morning on the slopes, I had to stop because my toes were bothering me so much. My toes were rubbing up against the front of the boot, and just too painful to carry on.
Other than that, I LOVE the lace up system, and the stiffness of these boots. In the past, I could never get my boots tight enough and after a run found myself relacing and tightening up... Kind of a pain when everyone's ready to roll but are waiting on you. Overall, I would recommend this boot, but check the sizes.
