Shield yourself against the cold when you pull on the Burton Women’s Midweight Pant. This Burton base layer wicks away moisture while keeping you warm. Designed with riding in mind, the Burton Midweight Pant has a shorter inseam to keep it from bunching up in your boots while its softlock seams prevent chaffing. And if you’re so excited to ride you just have to sleep in these bottoms the night before, feel free—the Burton Midweight Pant has an antimicrobial finish for just such an occasion. - Fall 2008.
Bottom Line: Burton understands that the warmer you are, the longer you can ride.
If you are like me and you pull your long underwear up onto your calf so that it doesn't ball up in your boot then these are not for you. I do not have fat calves, but the seams on the cuffs of these long underwear do not stretch at all, and they were pinching my calf all day long... Not comfortable at all. Also they are more of a lightweight layer - these are the thinnest long underwear I own. All 3 pairs of my 686 long underwear are much warmer.
Love, love , love these Burton long undies. I live in AK, so in the winter I like to wear long underwear with my jeans. Normally, this means if my shirt rides up at all, it appears I have major grannie panties on - however Burton has a low rise and these things keep you toasty and dry on or off the mountain.
Buy them!
Also, polka squares are quite fun.
These have plenty of room for socks...I ordered smalls and am 5 ft 7 in and they fit perfectly. The waistband is a bit loser than I'd like so shirts dont stay tucked in...but such is life. Also, if you don't want them to get little lint balls, hang dry them! Otherwise, these are a great and affordable base layer, and I definitely would recommend them.
