Description of Burton Paradise Insulated Vest - Girls':
Burton gave the Girls’ Paradise Insulated Vest warm synthetic insulation, a water-resistant DRYRIDE Durashell fabric, and removable faux-fur trim on the hood. Take this vest to the slopes or into town. We can’t speak for your arms, or the snow that might find its way past the hem of this vest, but at least your core will be cozy if you over-shoot your landing in the park. Two hand pockets on the front of this Burton vest warm your digits during the week. - Fall 2008.
I wanted a lightweight, packable insulation layer to use for everything from 3-season backpacking to winter iceclimbing. I think I found a new favorite piece of clothing. It packs down to the size of a quart container and weighs very little. I recently used it on a 4-day hiking trip across Daisetsuzan National Park in Hokkaido, Japan. It worked nicely as an insulation layer under my softshell or as an outer later over my capilene shirt during a cloudy day at 2K meters. During a day long downpour, it retained its insulative power and kept my camera dry in the inside chest pocket. Best of all, I can totally foresee wearing this around town as well.
