When your grom wants to rip on super-cold winter days, let him wear the Burton Boys' Down Jacket. With 550-fill goose down, this jacket makes blue-lips and chattering teeth on the slopes obsolete. Burton gave this jacket's DRYRIDE shell a DWR coating to ensure your boy stays toasty—even when it's dumping. A burly Exo Contour hood gives your little ripper extra protection when it's snowing sideways, while the mesh-lined Underarm zips dump heat when the sun comes out. With multiple pockets and street-worthy style, this Burton down coat makes a great school jacket, as well. A waist gaiter and removable brodana add function and style. - Fall 2008.
Bottom Line: When your boy is in the Burton Down Jacket, you'll have to bribe him to get him off the slopes.
My son loves his jacket. We live in Chicago, and the coat nice and warm, and it also performed well when we went skiing in Colorado. The faux fur on the hood is detachable (which is nice when he decided he'd rather not wear it). Oh, and the bright green Burton logo on the back makes it easy to spot him from far away (good feature on the slopes!).
