First, the hat is not in principle a horrible hat. Basically, the lining is very soft (fleece I believe), and the hat felt like it would be really warm. I sent the hat back because I didn't like the way it fit and for the price I couldn't justify keeping it for a 'maybe' I'll wear it. Problem of fit is two fold. First, as another reviewer mentioned, there's just too much hat here--you have to really pull down to make look right on top, which makes it look bad below. Second, the hat is cut like a baseball hat with ear and back of the head warmers--looks sort of like a hunting hat when worn. That's not a style I liked, but you may. So, probably not functionally a poor item, simply fashionably undesirable.

This is a cool hat. My only complaint is that it's a little tall. What I mean is that you have to pull it down on your head to make it look right otherwise there is extra hat that sticks up at the top.
