Burton made this highly technical shell from fully seam-taped two-layer Gore-Tex Performance Shell, guaranteeing you'll stay dry in any condition. When storms threaten and the wind starts to howl across the ridge, pull the ergonomic Exo-Contour hood up over your head for a little extra protection and a non-restrictive fit The 2L Jacket's closed-cell mesh lining wicks moisture away from your body, keeping you cool and dry while you charge the deeps, hike the pipe, or bootpack for the perfect line. Bust open the 2L Jacket's Crossflow Venting System to dump your body heat when the bootpack turns up the heat, or the spring sun threatens. A removable powder skirt keeps the snow out while Burton's jacket-to-pants interface lets you connect the 2L to any pair of Burton pants. I received my black Burton 2L last night and I'm very impressed. The picture doesn't do the black version justice -- the jacket itself has a lot more style than it looks. It has a great "girly" cut, meaning it accounts for the chest area, waist and hips -- so I won't look like I'm wearing a guy's jacket. The taped seams/zippers lie nice and flat and the powder skirt and pit zips are a major plus. Now if it would just *SNOW* in Utah, I could test it out!

Lightweight, functional and feminine, this jacket ensures that the boys know you're not exactly "one of them." I got this jacket for my girlfriend, and she looks great in it.

I love this jacket! I have tried at least 4 Gore-Tex jackets this ski season to find the one for me. This one has it all...comfort, protection, and enough pockets for my walkie talkie, wallet, lipstick/Chapstick, and snacks. The only potentially negative thing is that it is not as stylish as I would like, I feel a little "thick" in it, but it was worth it to me, to be dry and warm, rather than sleek. I LOVE the things in the sleeves that attach to your thumbs to keep sneaky cold air out! I also like the magnetic closures (instead of snaps or Velcro) once you have zipped up. I do not plan to use it for more than a ski coat, so I cannot comment on other uses.
