Very warm yet low profile insulation. All the pockets are reinforced with a zipper snap or snap velcro closure, so you won't be losing anything from the pockets! I gave them a 4/5 because the sizing runs big, waist and length. And I'm not completely sold on the whole pleathery looking fabric. ALSO- If you want BLACK pants, don't buy these. They're more of a dark grey.
