The multi-impact protection of the Bern Macon Hard Hat Helmet is dialed with a knit visor liner for snow, sun, and water versatility. Breathable Brock foam lines the hard plastic shell of the Macon for ventilation and quick drying time after a dunk in the river, and can withstand repeated knocks without needing to be replaced. The fleecy knit lining insulates you in the wintertime, but the 11 vents up top keep you from overheating on backcountry hikes to your pow stash.

| Snowbird received 20in of blower overnight last night. Super good turns, ect. I went to send an air that I've hit at least 10 times this year -money take off and landing.. Except the landing had slid, exposing a hard bed surface. Of course the landing is blind, and I didn't realize it until I was in the air. I tried to stomp the landing, as I hadn't set my self up for a hip check. I backslapped a 40 foot air so super hard it wasn't even funny. My head was catapulted backwards into the bed surface incredibly violently. The helmet performed amazingly. Every other helmet I've owned (Giro) would have left me with at least a moderate concussion. Instead, the Bern seemed to absorb 99% of the impact- I hardly felt a thing. The helmet didn't shift at all; I felt like my head was coddled in cotton balls. The tourists at the bottom could not believe I skied out of such a violent fall. Thank you Bern, I'm sold. |

| As one other person claimed...this helmet IS shaped for the round/spheric head. however, i dont understand leaving a negative review for the shape of articles of clothing...try the bern baker/muse for the more elongated/elliptical head.beyond that...this helmet looks pretty cool, it's unique, and indestructible. In case you are not on the know, many helmets are "one shot protection" and then they're trash. bern has a "hardhat" design meaning you can punish this helmet fall after fall. Very practical for hard charges, park rats, and for people trying to improve who crash often. cheap, attractive, practical....what else can you ask from a helmet? |

| Bought this helmet for wakeboarding and it has been great, Its comfy and gives you more confidence when trying tricks. It dries pretty quick and protects you from those crazy bails. |
