Description of Bern Brentwood w/ Visor Knit Helmet:
If you're wearing the Bern Brentwood when the polar sun breaks through the winter cloud cover, you've got it made in the shade because the warm, removable knit liner includes a soft brim to combat glare on the peak. Bern's Zip Mold liquid foam injection process creates a low-profile, lightweight helmet without any loss of impact protection, and the Brentwood's Sink Fit actually conforms to your head's shape instead of just padding the pressure points like other manufacturers do. When you add Bern's 8tracks audio system, the Brentwood becomes a brimmed-out, private soundtrack provider for your massive park sessions, and when the snow melts, you can just snap out the liner and rule the same trails on your freeride bike without laying out for another lid.
Bottom Line: The Brentwood's brim makes it even more versatile than before.
Top of the line head protection, fits nice, is comfortable, keeps me warm, and most of all, it doesn't make my head look huge. My wife and I are not disappointed with our Bern helmets in any way.
I've been mountain biking for 15+ years and have used dozens of helmets. This helmet is by far the best quality half-top helmet I have ever used or even seen for that fact. The zip mold technology is super clean and form fitting. Do not use measurement chart for fit, use a previous helmet size and the fit will be spot on. For example, my head measurements normally falls under the top end of a large helmet size but all of my helmets that I use are XL. So I purchased an XL and it was a perfect fit.
I usually wear a size small hat, and I had heard that Bern helmets run small, so I ordered a medium and the helmet just barely fit onto my head. I had to return it for a large. Also, the "removable winter knit liner" is actually a super thin piece of fabric with knit ear pieces and a visor. It is for use only when snapped into the helmet. I expected better quality. CS was great about the exchange though.
