Description of Blurr Nitrogen Insulated Jacket - Men's:
When your snot is threatening to freeze to your cheek, it’s time to zip up the Blurr Nitrogen Jacket and batten down the hatches. Flip up this synthetic puffy’s oversized hood, slip your hands into the fleece-lined hand pockets, and turn your back to the blustery weather—the Nitrogen’s nylon face fabric is windproof and water-resistant. Blurr got this insulated coat ready for the street with an internal MP3 pocket, a chest pouch, and a zip pocket on the sleeve.
This is a warm jacket with plenty of pockets and technical features. The hood is a combo of not quite big enough for a helmet (though it works with one) and not too big for just a hat. The cuffs are great for the glove/jacket interface that you don't mess with like you would a velcro closure.
The size is a little on the small side. I'm 6'1 and thin, but I could have gone with an XL for skiing, and layering underneath. The large is perfect for a town jacket with just a light shirt.
The zipper sucks. It is hard to get started and a little air seems to blow through when skiing fast. Not worried about it though. It is a good jacket and everybody else doesn't have one.
Other than the zipper that can be finicky because of the jacket material being thin, this jacket is great. tons of features, light, and warm. If I could get another in my size of a different color, I would do it today.
Got off SAC for about $40. I'm usually a medium (5'10", 165 lbs) and the M fits well, though the body and sleeves could be 1/2" longer for my taste. enough room to layer something underneath. It's warm, but the zipper could be a little better - hard to get it to catch, and it's on the opposite side of every other zipper I've ever used. But for $40, it's a screaming deal.
