I'm a size small/4 pants and these fit perfectly in the hips (I have narrow hips) and fall in a casual straight leg, not too loose, not too tight. Gusseted crotch. rollup/buttons in the pant legs (lose the strings on the hem - those things are useless)
Might buy a second pair because I haven't found another pair of climbing pants I find flattering and functional.
these are hands down my favorite pants. they are perfect for biking, climbing, hiking and just general casual wear. i have a really tough time with pants--i have wider hips and thighs and a narrow waist, usually im a 6, sometimes an 8, and the mediums fits PERFECT.
I'm a size medium just under 5'8" and around 140. I was nervous about the sizing so I ordered both a medium and large.
I swim in the large - flat too big.
The mediums fit nicely along the waist which provides button/snap closure along with a tie if you need to cinch it up a bit. Length is spot on and long enough to come to your shoes and also provides tie closure for windy days.
Durable fabric, slimline pockets and flattering fit. It's possible that the semi-low rise would cause a problem with a harness, but these days... doesn't everything?
I'm in the process of exchanging my large for a different color of medium.
