I bought Black Diamond Guide Gloves because they were ranked in the top five ski gloves for women on About.com - I figured their experts would know. They look great, are very comfortable and I love the removable liner, but unfortunately they are not nearly as warm as I hoped. I was skiing in Australia, only out for an hour and a half before my fingers were cold. A little disappointing considering the good reviews. They are good, but not sure they are worth the extra money.
My fingers get cold VERY easily. These gloves are supposed to be warm, according to everyone I have talked to, however, after wearing them everyday this winter, I was not satisfied. My fingers were almost always cold. I took them back and got mittens instead, which should work better for me. If your fingers don't get cold easily, then these gloves will work great! They look really cool, especially in the granite/pearl color.
Just used these for the first time today! My hands were sweating on the skin up....but the inside actually dried....and kept my hands warm for the way down. I went for a smaller fit to be more dexterous, and they are already breaking in fine. Also, the gaiter is really long, which I like, but is not for everyone. All around, very, very warm for my wimpy fingers!
