Description of Billabong Sundance Jacket - Women's:
The Billabong Sundance Jacket has just a bit of military style. Not too much, since that whole, ‘wearing military clothes when you were never in the military,’ thing is a bit odd. Billabong added four front pockets and raw-edge seams, and a removable hood for fall and early-winter.
I love this sweatshirt. It definitely isn't a jacket (which I thought) but it served me well up until snow came along. It is a little loose, which makes it perfect for layering. It's got that almost-preppy almost-tomboy thing going for it which perfectly matches my style.
Oh! And the collar always stays up when I need to block the wind. Best part.
This jacket is super soft and the fabric etc is beautiful. Unfortunately I was hoping for two things that it failed to provide:
1. I wanted a warmer jacket. This jacket is more like a sweater. (I should have read the material description better).
2. It looked like it would be a really flattering feminine fit, but was a little too loose for that and the empire waist kind of made me look more shapeless than the pic made me think it would.
Other than these things it is a great light jacket. I am 5'6", 130lbs, 35, 26, 35 and I usually wear a medium or small. I bought the small and it was still pretty loose, so it runs small.
