If you had a fleece-lined, wool beanie that was hand knit by natives in Nepal, you’d probably call it the Backcountry.com Nepal Beanie, too. Whether you’re killing cold ones on the porch or charging the deeps, the Nepal Beanie wants to tag along. Hand-knit wool naturally fends off light moisture and wind, while the fleece lining warms your ears and keeps the sweat out of your eyes when you’re going hard.
Bottom Line: The Nepalese really know how to keep a head warm.
Granted, I've got a big noggin, but the Beanie cap wasn't what I thought it was going to be. It was super tight on my head. I like that it was hand made, but who's gonna wear a cap that gives them a headache. Not all heads are the same size. Make more sizes available.
This hat is your one stop hat. Good in any weather below 50F, and it's stylin' too. I picked up several colors and they're all sweet. Warm, warm, warm and soft! I'm pretty sensitive to wool but was not bothered by this hat at all. Sized nicely, I have a 7 1/8 sized noggin and it fits great. Think of it as a beanie that covers you like a hat but it's still a beanie, you dig? Check my lanky azz out in the pic sporting the green one at about 8700' in July 2009.
