Description of Backcountry.com Rime Pullover Jacket - Women's:
Sexy lines, a flattering fit, and Power Shield’s high breathability and weather-shunning performance—the Backcountry Women’s Rime Pullover Jacket owns the equinoxes. Whether you’re heading out for a hike in autumn’s technicolor blanket or stomping up a skin track in spring, the Rime’s lightweight but weather-shirking Power Shield softshell fabric holds warmth close while allowing excessive body heat escape when you work up a sweat. A ¼ chest zip offers extra ventilation when the day heats up, and the arm pocket keeps tabs on smaller items while you’re on the go.
Bottom Line: The in-between seasons softshell you’ve always dreamed about.
I didn't expect too much of this jacket, other than wearing it for cool morning rides or run. But I find myself reaching for it for just about everything. It fits snug, but I like it that way - don't want too much material when you're being active.
Sizing is bang-on. I always wear XS in backcountry brand and this is no exception.
The only downside to it is I have long monkey arms so the arms are on the short side, especially if I'm on my bike. Same with the hem, I wish it was about an inch longer.
I'd say it's pretty darn waterproof, I've ridden in a downpour and it kept me dry, and definitely wind proof. Love the fleece backing, all cosy inside.
I get compliments every time I wear it. Definitely worth every single penny!
Nice, well made jacket. Runs small, would size up. I'm 5'8", 145 lbs, normally wear a size 12/Large. I ordered this in Wisteria color, Large size. Should have ordered and XL. I can't wear it with anything other than a t-shirt without it being too tight. Would have returned for an XL but they were out of the color I wanted. Quality is good, though. I'm just bummed I can't get my color in the XL anymore. Would have rated 5 stars if the sizing were better.
really liked the design and fabric of this pullover but I didn't like how it was kind of difficult to get on. I have big shoulders though and am generally not a fan of pullovers unless they are stretchy. if you don't have big swimmer shoulders you will be just fine in this jacket
