The Atomic RT FR 100 employs race boot construction and technology to push your freeride limits into the red. The RT in this boot stands for Race Tech—that means a low-volume 98mm last and high-angle-friendly 43mm chassis, full Twin Micro Excenter Canting, and a grindable PU boot board and shell for shop tech custom fitting. The FR stands for Free Ride, and that’s where Atomic allows a soft rear spoiler, thermoformable Team Sport liner and Conform’able footbed, making the RT FR 100 feel more like a snug-fitting slipper than a no-compromises race boot at the end of your day. The 100 flex index is perfect for lighter skiers or bump-bashers who suffer from shin bang, and an integrated RECCO reflector aids rescuing patrollers both inside the ropes and out-of-bounds.
Having tried and skied in many ski boots, the Atomic RT FR 100 fit and performed so well that I promptly bought a second pair to use them when I wear out the original pair. These ski boots provide an instant translation of your foot movement directly onto the ski, thus being one of the most precise recreational ski boot I’ve ever used. Not too cushy and not too hard, I use these boots on the same day in the trees and on the race course if I happen to coach racing that day. These boots have nicely progressive flex. Get these boots in the exact size or better yet, a size smaller and then punch them as needed. These boots lose all their great qualities if not fit like a glove.
I am a male, weigh 150 lbs, level 9 skier.
