Description of Arc'teryx Sidewinder AR Jacket - Women's:
The Arc'teryx Women's Sidewinder AR Jacket offers bomber protection to keep you dry when you're riding on the deepest days of the season or in the middle of a record-breaking storm. Gore-Tex Pro fabric and fully taped seams keep every drop of moisture from getting inside and soaking your layers. A stowable storm hood fits over your helmet, so you don't have to choose between your hood and your brain bucket. Arc'teryx hooked up the Sidewinder AR Jacket with an offset front zipper, so you don't have to ride with a cold piece of metal pressed against your chin. *Available for US shipment only.
Bottom Line: When the burliest storms of the season roll in, get out and ride with the Arc'teryx Sidewinder AR Jacket.

great ski jacket! 10-21-07

This jacket fits really well; it's long enough and the powder skirt really does work. I've had it for a full ski season now and haven't been easy on it and it's held up really well. I thought the sidewinder zipper might be annoying when unzipped, but it stays put and doesn't get in the way. If you have longer arms, this jacket actually has sleeves that are long enough!
I bought this coat in Basmati size L. I wear a 12/14 and was pleased with the way this jacket fit. Though it is tighter in the hips than preferred, the extra room in the arms is nice and color is non-threatening and classic. Naturally I already have dirt on it, but am glad to have a bomber proof shell for the backcountry in AK. I LOVE the side zipper and high neck. The lack of velcro on the front means your braids won't get caught (which is awesome) and the inside of the neck is super soft. The jacket looks great with any color of ski pant and remains warm on the skinner with just a light layer underneath. If you can get a great deal on the coat--go for it!

So Many Features 02-28-08

This jacket is great and has many useful features such as the powder skirt, adjustable cuffs on the sleeves to fit over my ski mittens, and nice pocket locations. It's even long enough for my longer arms and torso, which are always concerns for me. I highly recommend it for skiing!
