I have a short torso and am 5 foot 3 inches, and this thing was way too short in the waist in the XS. I almost think this would only work on a tall woman who is looking for that short-jacket style and wears warm layers to show between the jacket and pants. Maybe others will have better luck, but I agree with an earlier reviewer that the fit is way off. Too bad - I was looking forward to finally owning (affording) an Arc'teryx jacket.
I ordered this jacket in Armadillo, size XS and the jacket is different than the picture. The picture has white piping across the chest, but the jacket does not. The piping is actually darker than the rest of the jacket, so the style is very different in person. Also, the jacket is way too short. I am 5' 2" with a small torso and the jacket is even too short for me.
I really like the jacket. I ordered too large of a size (I ordered S instead of XS) based on the prior reviewers comments. As always, your body type will affect fit, so go with your instinct. It is also possible that just the larger sizes seem disproportionate compared to the smaller sizes.
