Excellent length! At 6'4", these bastards hit the edge of the bottom of the knee on me, which translates "perfection for fashion-savvy tall folks on the trail." Not that looking good is the foremost goal of back country wear - but it doesn't hurt. The garbanzo is a muted forest green color (not really brownish like the photo appears). But it's is still a sweet hue. The shorts are a pretty close fit as far as circumference and they have that swim trunk feel. So, if you're tall and lean, be a good man and buy these sweet half-knickers.
I've always been impressed with Arc'teryx products, but I returned these shorts. They were good quality and comfortable, just too long. They looked goofy.
These are exactly the shorts I was looking for for long-distance bike touring trips: longer than normal shorts (below the knee) but cut higher than capri-pants; lightweight/wicking (non-cotton) but durable material, close fitting but flexible fit; deep pockets; and great colors.
The day my first pair arrived, I tried them on and immediately came back here to order a second pair in another color.
Couldn't be happier.
