One company that is doing things differently is Arbor snowboards out of Venice, CA. This small board builder is still owned and managed by the two guys who founded it, Bob Carlson and Chris Jensen. These two use unique all wood top sheets and other environmentally friendly materials to build boards that are as good to look at as they are to ride. Last season found Arbor boards on the best of lists in many snowboard magazines. Long time pro rider Mike Basich can be seen dropping out of helicopters and riding monster rails on his favorite Arbor board.
