Description of Ahnu Jenner Technical Sandal - Women's:
Slip into your Ahnu Women's Jenner Technical Sandals, pull and cinch the lace for a comfy, supportive fit, and hike Utah's Little Wild Horse Canyon on a warm spring day. These Ahnu sandals have mesh uppers for lots of breathability so your feet don't overheat and hiking-shoe features for stability and traction. Arch supports and TPU shanks provide support and torsional rigidity, and forefoot plates protect against stone-bruising. Lugged rubber outsoles grip slick rock and dirt. Charred bamboo added to the Jenner's lining inhibits microbe growth, so these sandals won't stink after a few hot-weather hikes or float trips down a river.
Bottom Line: Ahnu Jenner Sandals—open-air jeeps for your feet.
This is my first pair of water shoes. I bought them to take my dog to the river. First trip I sunk down in a hole like quicksand. Needless to say shoes were extremely mucky. Came home and rinsed them off in the sink. They look like new and best of all, no odor. They were a bit hard to get off and on at first but they have loosened up nicely. I ordered my normal size (7) and was a bit concerned that they might run a bit small. As is turns out the sizing is exactly right. Never had a problem with blisters or breaking them in. I would probably try something else next time just because these are the first shoes of this type I've tried. Overall I'm very pleased with them.
This is my second pair and I love these shoes. I train guide dogs so I walk for a living and these shoes are cool, comfortable and hold up to daily city walking and weekends on trails. I typically run through shoes in about 6 months because of the hard wear and these held up to the usual schedule.
These things suck. A lace rivet ripped out the first few hours I wore them while walking down a flat gravel road. I wore them once more in rain because it was to slick to walk barefoot and after an afternoon of easy walking on boulders and soft leaves these sandals look tortured and weather beaten.
